The staff was excellent and went above and beyond. A fun hotel, extra perks like they will ship a postcard for you, and staff that is ready to personally assist with anything. Lots of breakfast options, a little gym and complimentary water bottles, nice clean hotel, big washrooms in small but decent sized rooms, comfy beds, not too far from city centre (20-30 minite car ride or 45 minute brisk walk).

We had an absolutely amazing stay. The staff was wery welcoming and friendly and made sure to accomodate any request we had. They also told us how to get around the city and how to use different means of transport. They even alowed me to sing opera in the hotel and made sure I felt comfortable. The room was incredibly clean and cosy, and the beds were comfortable. The lovely cleaning ladies made sure to replace the coffee,water, cookies, and toilletries every day. The breakfast was diverse, with lots of options for those who are vegan, gluten free, dairy free. The hotel is located in a very safe, lively area of Paris. There is a big metro station 2 minutes away (Republique) and there are lots of metro lines that can take you anywhere. There are lots of cafes, restaurants near by. The hotel also offers room service.

Exceptional staff that were all conversant in English and offered many suggestions for restaurants, guided tours, metro and rail advice, etc. The breakfast was abundant and delicious. Rooms were clean and tended to daily. Great central location with immediate access (less than five minute walk) to two metro stops and a major train station (ten minute walk). Worked out in the gym daily. I would stay here again and confidently recommend it to friends and family. I felt safe and comfortable here.

Stuff is really brilliant, firstly I was met by Russian speaking girl, she gave me lots of suggestions about city. The manager in time of my check-in offered me welcome drink champagne (he also spoke a little bit on my native language, Russian, it was so nice). Room was clean, had everything you need – tea, nespresso, water, and Marshall Bluetooth speaker! Umbrellas on the reception for guests Loccitane soap, bath gel and shampoo Shower works perfectl Water pressure was good The hot bath after cold weather was also a plus

Great location in between Republique and Oberkampf. So easy to get anywhere around Paris via the metro. Also, appreciated the afternoon drinks and pastries in the lobby, as well as the daily bottled water and the sauna downstairs. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast looked delicious (sadly didn't get the chance to try it).

Hotel is in a great location really close to the Metro with lots of bars, bistro and restaurants very close too. The hotel is small but in a very good way. The entrance lobby is fun and really welcoming. Reception team were excellent and super friendly and helpful. They have a bar/kitchen are too where breakfast is also served, the space is really well designed and feels really nice to be in, it's immaculately clean too. Breakfast was included in my rate and the self service choice was superb for a continental with the bonus of some hot eggs, bacon and sausage too. Room was a nice size and design, bed comfortable, great shower. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel probably is the best we ever stayed. The location is perfect, walking distance to all main attractions. Moreover, Republic Place (a couple of steps from the hotel) is the station where lots of metro lines crossing, which is very convenient if you want to take a train. The hotel is very clean. Every day they make our room shiny and spotless. The staff is amazing. Thanks to Ekaterina and the team. They were extremely helpful. Highly recommended.

The hospitality at Le General was one of the best we have ever experienced in 30 years of traveling. Especially Mr. Ibrahim was of chosen friendly- and helpfulness in every matter. Our room was of typical parisian smallness, which didn’t disturb us at all since we are Paris "habitués", but charming, neatly designed and the bed was very comfortable – special mention to the pillow which was also one of the most comfortable compared even to some very renowned hotels around the world. Last but not least the bathroom was very nicely designed, modern, spacious and clean with excellent washing/body products by the brand L'Occitane which we happen to like a lot. Centralized location, easy to find, lots of restaurants and convenient stores around. Staff were sooooo great! Attentive, knowledgeable, polite, welcoming, and sincere. Love the prosecco welcome and the rubber ducky. The L’Occitane products available to use were a pleasant surprise. The reception area is so cozy, decor is well put together, and feels like a living room instead of a hotel.
